Last week I showed off my yellow & black Lane raglan shirt; today I present my fruity blue version of the Lane Raglan by Hey June Handmade.

I wanted this Lane Raglan to be a bit shorter so I cropped the body pattern pieces by 2¼”.
Sizing Cut: Large
Alterations: Cropped 2¼” length.
My Measurements: 39½” bust, 31″ waist, 39½” hip
This was my first time making long sleeves and these came out just a bit long on me. If I flip the cuff up the length is about ½” too short. Next time, if the sleeve fabric has a good body/recovery as this Art Gallery knit, I’d like to loose 1¾-2″ off the sleeve length.

I found that the neckband was fussier on this shirt. Next time I’ll measure the neckline and see how well the neckband math ( length x 0.85 + 1 w/ ½” seam allowance) matches up with the pattern piece. I might just need to loose a ½ to get it to lay flatter.
I love 😍 this Art Gallery Frutteria Jersey Knit in Blue. I ordered it from Fabric.com (where the picture doesn’t do the print justice!!) The navy rib knit I used for the cuff, hem and neckline is from Mood Fabrics (thank you Mood!)
One little gripe about the fabric: I wish the print was a slightly smaller scale. I love the variety of color in the print but it wasn’t possible to catch all of the colors or fruits on even the larger front/back panels of the top.
PS. Excuse the diagonal pull in some of the photos. It’s not the pattern; it’s due to me not adjusting the waistband between selfie dancing sessions. I find being in front of the camera VERY uncomfortable. Dancing makes it much more fun!
